Tiffany has lived all over the country but has found a way to keep her passion for tap dance alive throughout the journey. While completing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dance from Northwestern University’s School of Communication, Tiffany had the opportunity to study under many of Chicago’s tap greats. During her time at NU, she was privileged to perform the choreography of Billy Siegenfeld (Jump Rhythm Jazz Project) and Bril Barrett (MADD Rhythms) as well as performing in Dance Chicago, at the American College Dance Festival, and as a founding member of Northwestern's premier tap company, Tonik Tap. After graduation Tiffany began her professional dance career as an apprentice with the Chicago Tap Theatre. The highlight her two years with CTT was touring in France alongside CTT’s sister company Tapage, as well as performing in front of over 20,000 at the music festival Lollapalooza with the band The Polyphonic Spree. Tiffany’s teaching credits include serving as a guest instructor at Northwestern University, The Giordano Dance Center, and Joel Hall Dance Center as well as many dance studios around the country. When Tiffany is not busy tap dancing, she puts her recently completed Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work to good use, serving as a Mental Health Clinician (aka Psych Lady) in the Texas Prison System. Throughout her 20 years as a tap dancer, Tiffany has never been more excited than to be making her tap festival teaching debut with her long time friend and former teacher, Mary Lee Kennedy here in Houston. |
